Radiology Services is seeking to appoint a locum (10 PA) Consultant Radiologist (9 DCC / 1 SPA) with an interest in Genitourinary Imaging to join its established diagnostic radiology team. This post is required to fill maternity leave vacancy and to meet increasing demand for diagnostic radiology. The post will support the large urology and renal units at Guys Hospital, as well as supporting the cancer services and acute adult radiological imaging. It is expected that the post holder will be involved in the full range of adult diagnostic radiology and multimodality urological imaging including fluoroscopy. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to urological multidisciplinary team meetings.

Further Information

The post will be based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. The urology department includes 25 Urologists and provides regional cancer services for renal, bladder & upper tract urothelial, and prostate tumours. They provide tertiary services for retroperitoneal fibrosis, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, and advanced renal tumours. The urology department has an active robotic surgical service for all of the above tumours with 3 robotic systems on site. Benign urology pathways include Andrology, and Functional Urology. The trust has one of the largest renal, and pancreatic transplant services in the country and the post holder will support will involve participation in the work up of transplant patients, and radiological support following surgery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a first class team within a larger group of diagnostic radiologists with other areas of wide ranging expertise. In addition to supporting the established diagnostic radiology services, the post holder will have the opportunity to participate in teaching programs.
