We are delighted to announce our new joint venture with the RCR, and warmly invite applicants to the RCR/BSUR Travelling Professorship.
Deadline for applications is Friday 19th January.
Purpose of the award:
- To highlight the specialty of urogenital radiology in the UK
- To promote best practice with regards to acquisition and reporting techniques
- To promote the specialty of urogenital radiology as a specialist interest in future careers
- To provide specific urogenital radiology teaching at both trainee and consultant level to centres across the UK
The Role:
- 4-8 training scheme visits per 12 months - to deliver ½ day or whole day of case-based specialist teaching
- Lecture at the BSUR ASM
- May be uro radiology, gynae radiology, or both
The Tenure:
We will appoint a new travelling professor annually. The first incumbent will be in post February 2024 – February 2025

- A proposal (500 words) describing the teaching you plan to deliver on the TP visits
- The contact details of 2 referees
In the event of more than one application, BSUR members will be sent anonymised applications and asked to vote.
Arrangements:
- Please note all visit expenses will be reimbursed by the RCR using their ‘expensin’ service in line with their expenses policy
- Teaching events will be arranged by the Travelling Professor at their convenience
- The RCR will provide back-office support to the Travelling Professor in arranging visits, such as providing details of local TPDs and seeking EOI for teaching events
